Jingle Bells, Batman Smells

Jingle Bells, Batman Smells Illustration
Origin: USA
Jingle bells, Batman smells,
Robin laid an egg.
The Batmobile lost a wheel
And Joker got away!

A parody of 'Jingle Bells' popular among children in the United States since the mid-1960s. The parody originated on playgrounds, coinciding with the immense popularity of the Batman television series which premiered in January 1966, when children began chanting "Batman Smells" and merged it with the tune of "Jingle Bells." The global dissemination of the parody is often attributed to military families during the Vietnam War era, as children moved with their parents to various bases worldwide and shared the rhyme.
